Introduction
The Republic of Macedonia is a country with abundant and lengthy history, a country that represents the crossroads of several cultures, religions and civilizations.
Throughout the lengthy and abundant history of the Macedonian people and the ethnic communities that have lived or live in this area, invaluable cultural heritage was created that is a source of identity for the young generations even today. In addition to this, this cultural heritage awakes feelings of love and respect for one’s roots and traditional values. Cultural and religious diversity are the source of great creative potential and bridge leading to mutual understanding, respect and co-existence.
Taking into consideration the universal values and principles included in each religion, as well as the fact that the diversity of cultures, religions and civilizations represents a positive contribution and tremendous potential, and furthermore we are convinced that we all have to contribute to fostering of cultural and religious dialogue and cooperation.
