Press Centre

The Press Centre is located in Metropol Hotel in Ohrid.
The Centre commences work on May 6th 2010 at 16:00.
The working hours of the Press Centre in the period
from May 7th until May 9th 2010 will be from 09:00 until 22:30.

The Centre is equipped with a sufficient number of computers, laptop connections, printers, a photocopier and telefax machines.
There is wireless connection in Metropol Hotel.
The journalists will have the opportunity to attend and follow the plenary session and panel discussions. In addition to this, there will be direct broadcast in the Press Centre and in the hotel lobby. The Press Centre is also equipped with a sufficient number of headphones that could be used for the provided simultaneous interpretation into the Conference working languages.

Accreditation – The Accreditation Desk for the mass media representatives is in the lobby of Bellevue Hotel in Ohrid. The accreditation starts at 10:00 on May 6th. The journalists, cameramen and newspaper photographers will only be allowed to enter Metropol Hotel if they have been accredited, i.e. if they have the respective ID tags.

The media representatives that are part of the delegations, are also obliged to undergo the regular accreditation procedure, which applies to the other journalists as well, by filling in the form that can be downloaded from the website www.worldconferenceohrid.kultura.gov.mk.

The television journalists will have two stand-up positions at their disposal, one of them outside the hotel, on the Press Centre terrace, and the other one inside the hotel, in the lobby between the Press Centre and the Main Conference Hall.
Venues have also been arranged for television and radio interviews. If the journalists wish to use these venues, they are to notify the Info Desk within the Press Centre.

The Macedonian Television provides unilateral calling, and then forwards the signal to Eurovision and there is also a possibility of transmitting audio and video signals from the event coverage. The electronic media that wish to use the services of MRTV, as public broadcasting service, may require TV technical support.

Macedonian Radio – Radio Skopje – offers report preparation and forwarding using ISDN lines or the Internet, call-ins and possibility of using the recorded material.

Transport – The media houses, i.e. the accredited journalists have organized transport from Skopje to Ohrid and back. Should they wish to use their own vehicles, advance notification is required, so that parking spaces are provided for such vehicles.
On May 6th 2010 a coach leaves for Ohrid from the Macedonian Radio-Television car park at 13:00. This coach will also take the media representatives back to Skopje on May 9th 2010 upon the completion of the Programme events.
The media, i.e. journalists that wish to join the Conference in Ohrid, will have shuttle bus transport organized from “Biljanini Izvori” Hall to Metropol Hotel and back. These journalists will be additionally informed about the shuttle bus timetable.

All journalists arriving at one of the airports in Skopje or in Ohrid, will have organized transport provided on condition that the arrivals have been announced beforehand and arranged with the Media Coordinator.
